Consultant Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeon   Mr Lucian Ion received his medical degree at the University of Bucharest. He went on to complete his general surgical training in Paris where he studied in several prestigious hospitals. He pursued specialisation in the field of plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and continued his career progress in the UK. During his training in Britain he successfully passed the examinations and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). He completed advanced training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, in units accredited by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS). This included a fellowship in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London. Having completed the training he successfully passed the Intercollegiate Board exam in Plastic Surgery as well as the European Board exam in the speciality. He was subsequently included on the Register of Medical Specialists held by the General Medical Council, under the entry plastic surgery.
